Experience

Markus has appeared before Magistrates and Judges in Territory Courts and South Australian Courts and the Federal Court and has experience in the role of counsel although his main practice is as a solicitor.

Markus has practiced extensively in the area of building contract disputes and Work Health claims.

He has handled many such matters over the last 26 years from commencement to conclusion and is skilled in assessing, preparing, mediating/negotiating settlements and where necessary proceeding to a contested hearing where the complexity of law and/or facts require.

Markus has developed areas of expertise which are industry focused, namely building and construction and fishing industry in particular.

• Batchelor of Law University of Adelaide
• Admitted as Legal Practitioner in the Northern Territory (1984) and South Australia (1987)
• Member of the Professional Indemnity Insurance Committee and Chair of the Member of the Public Purposes Trust Allocation Committee
