Experience

Nicole commenced her legal career working for a mid-tier Sydney firm as a paralegal with the conduct of her own practice whilst completing the Legal Practitioners Admission Board Course through Sydney University.

Prior to moving to Darwin Nicole worked in the litigation divisions of a number of Sydney based firms conducting matters for both plaintiff and defendant clients in the Federal Court, Supreme Court of New South Wales, District Court of New South Wales.

In July 2003 Nicole joined Ward Keller practising in the areas of industrial law, insurance law, building disputes, trade practices, contractual disputes, medical negligence, public liability, work health and general litigation for insurers, employers, business, corporations and individuals.

Nicole's industrial law manages the litigation in both New South Wales and the Northern Territory division of the firm representing employers, employees and unions in a variety of disputes ranging from unfair dismissal, breach of contract and award/agreement negotiations and restraint of trade practice.

Nicole has represented clients in two of the Northern Territories leading cases, interpreting the Construction Contracts (Security of Payments Act) Court of Appeal division of AJ Lucas Operations Pty Ltd v Mac-Attack Equipment Hire Pty Ltd [2009] NTCA 4 and Independent Fire Sprinklers (NT) Pty Ltd v Sun Build Pty Ltd [2008] NTSC 46.
