Caitlin Loganathan
Administration Assistant
Straight after finishing her year 12 exams, Caitlin Loganathan joined the team at Ward Keller’s Casuarina office.
‘It’s been great. Lots of fun so far,’ said Caitlin, who’s working in debt collection.
‘I call up the debtors and help put them on payment plans. I also help process quarantine debts (mandatory supervised quarantine) and assist with NTCAT (Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal) matters, which has been really interesting.’
The partner Caitlin reports to is also her dad, Leon Loganathan. ‘I try to go through Tash (her senior colleague) most of the time, though!’
Alongside her role, Caitlin is studying law and criminology online with the University of New England.
‘From when I was little, about four, it was my dad’s and my dream for me to study law at Harvard’, she said. ‘During my rebellious stage, I changed my mind and looked at medicine instead, but it wasn’t for me. I knew I wanted to pick up law after doing legal studies in year 11 and 12.’
Caitlin says her work at the firm enriches her study. ‘The theory can get a little boring sometimes, but when I’m at work and actually doing it, I know how interesting this career will be.’
