Born in Alice Springs, Leon has lived in Darwin since the age of 5 before moving to Melbourne to complete a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts at La Trobe University in 2022.

Leon continues to find himself back at Ward Keller, beginning his journey in 2020 through a work placement in the Mining and Resources cell. He enjoyed the introduction to law noting that “the work within the Environment and Resources cell is diverse, including mining and petroleum matters, native title, pastoral leases, land development, and environmental law.”

In 2022 he returned for a few months as a Law Clerk before completing his practical legal training in 2023. In December 2025, Leon officially rejoined Ward Keller as a full-time Lawyer. He said, “I am passionate about the Territory and about developing my knowledge.”

Outside of work, Leon likes to stay active, playing cricket and Aussie Rules, clinging to hope by loyally backing his AFL team, Essendon. Leon is also an avid traveller and enjoys exploring the outdoors as well as pursuing his creative interests through photography and music.
