Jessica Lena came to Ward Keller in May 2020 as a Graduate Law Clerk. She graduated with her law degree from Adelaide’s Flinders University in April 2020.

Jess was born and raised in Alice Springs. Before joining Ward Keller, she worked as a Court Officer in the Alice Springs law courts for three years before she moved to Adelaide to study.

‘That’s where my interest in the law stemmed from’, she said. ‘It was great to learn the procedural background of the court system and have this as the foundation of my legal career.’

Jessica started her graduate rotation with the firm’s commercial and wills team. ‘I’m doing a bit of everything and stepping in to help out whoever needs it’, she said.

Jess was warmly welcomed to the Alice Springs team before joining the Darwin office in April 2021. ‘Everyone is lovely and friendly. It’s been wonderful’, she said.

After hours, Jess is heavily involved in her local sporting community. ‘I love netball, and I play two different types of football—Gaelic football and women’s AFL.’ Jess also loves running, hiking and keeping fit.
