Kaliopi first joined Ward Keller in July 2013 and was appointed Partner in 2017. After stepping away from the firm towards the end of 2021, Kaliopi returned in 2024 initially as a locum lawyer and then permanently in mid-2025, bringing with her a wealth of experience and an unwavering commitment to delivering client focused legal services.

Born and raised in Darwin, Kaliopi has a strong appreciation of the legal, commercial, and other issues unique to the Northern Territory (e.g. a transient population with one degree of separation). She is known for her clear, pragmatic, and strategic approach and her ability to guide clients whether individuals, businesses, corporate entities, or statutory bodies through complex matters with confidence and care.

Kaliopi now practises primarily in workers’ compensation, employment law and commercial dispute matters. She also advises clients in relation to identifying and managing legal risk. Kaliopi has an excellent ability to identify the real issues a client needs to respond to and is always focused on strategically protecting clients’ interests. Kaliopi also has excellent skills in policy drafting and governance related work and enjoys the opportunity to assist clients to be proactive and ready to respond to any adverse future event.

Not one to sit idle, outside of work and family responsibilities Kaliopi focuses on doing things that grow her knowledge. Kaliopi reads and is particularly interested in learning about people – their experiences, perspectives, wins, losses, etc. Kaliopi also does volunteer work in her local community, is an events and logistics coordinator for her family, and values more than anything time at home with her husband and young kids.
