Originally from Sydney, New South Wales, Patrick’s journey to Darwin began in 2019 when he moved to Katherine for a job with the Northern Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA) before later working as an associate to Northern Territory judge.

Prior to joining Ward Keller in February 2025, Patrick spent much of his career in Darwin, developing a diverse practice across a wide range of legal matters. He was drawn to Ward Keller by its reputation for handling a broad array of cases, which aligned with his desire to work across different areas of law.

Patrick graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Laws in 2019. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Chinese, and is constantly seeking opportunities to enhance his Chinese language skills.

At Ward Keller, Patrick focuses primarily on criminal law and enjoys working on Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal matters. In his view, a client has never had a problem that’s too big or small and he enjoys being part of a supportive team with the institutional knowledge and understanding of the Territory that can help people get the results they want. For Patrick, the lasting commitment of his colleagues—many of whom have been with the firm for decades—speaks volumes about the positive and fulfilling work culture at Ward Keller.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys the handy convenience of Darwin and the attitudes of the people that preserve that and is fully embracing the relaxed lifestyle that living in Darwin affords. He’s also working towards his goal of owning a boat to make the most of the Top End’s outdoor lifestyle.
