Christopher Frew is Ward Keller’s IT Systems Manager. He joined the firm in October 2023 after operating an IT business for 2 years. Before that, he held roles including senior project engineer and network security engineer as a contractor in large enterprise.

A big part of Christopher’s role is managing the firm’s risk and security systems.

‘Communications, client files and data are all digitised now, so an important part of my job is helping manage the cyber security risk posed by that digitised information,’ he said. ‘I help identify risks and apply controls to mitigate them or accept them, communicating risk to the partners.’

Christopher is enjoying working in a team again after being a solo operator for a couple of years. ‘The Ward Keller team is terrific,’ he said. ‘Everyone is friendly and flexible, and I have a lot of autonomy too.’

When he’s not at work, Christopher’s young family keeps him busy. He’s also doing a major renovation and landscaping project on their Palmerston home.
