Samuel Pulsford joined Ward Keller’s Alice Springs office as an intern in 2019 while studying at the University of Queensland. He was admitted to practise in 2022, and after a year in Darwin as an Associate in the Supreme Court, he rejoined the firm as a Lawyer in November 2023.

Samuel said the team at Ward Keller is fantastic. ‘I’ve worked with a lot of my colleagues since 2019; it’s a very collegiate team. Everyone is incredibly hard working and always available to help – you can pop your head in for advice and walk away knowing the best direction to run your matter.’

Samuel practises in criminal law as well as civil litigation, administrative law and family law matters.

‘For a lawyer, Alice Springs is unique both in the diversity of work and the amount of time you spend in court,’ said Samuel, who also travels to all areas of Central Australia and the Barkly region, often on the ‘bush court’ circuit every few months.

‘It’s one of my favourite parts of working here – getting out bush and helping people in small makeshift courts. I love it.’

In his down time, Samuel is into ‘a bit of everything’. ‘I’m pretty active, so in the morning I’m either at the pool or in the gym. I also do a fair bit of cooking, and I’m trying to teach myself 2 languages – Italian and Arabic. Which is easier said than done, but I’m getting there slowly.’
