Martin Kelly came to Ward Keller in late 2021 as a partner from a large national law firm.

Martin is an experienced commercial lawyer with a busy property practice. He’s known for his personable and engaging nature.

‘After 16 years in the Territory, I understand that local people want to deal with locals, so joining Ward Keller was a perfect match for me,’ he said.

‘The firm works so well because its people are well respected, everyone is focused locally on their clients and they do a really good job for them’.

‘Ward Keller also has great systems in place,’ he said. ‘I hit the ground running from the time I walked into the Darwin office and have been relishing in my leadership and legal role ever since.’

As well as commercial property law, Martin helps clients with liquor licensing, business law and commercial disputes.

‘I enjoy taking a matter that’s tracking on a litigious course and steering clients through other avenues, trying to avoid the formal court process when we can,’ he said.

Outside work, Martin’s focus is on his three very active kids and as a board member on the Sport Access Foundation, a not-for-profit that helps kids with disabilities engage in sport.
